Certified Nursing Assistant – State Certified CNA Certification will prepare you for a job in only five weeks! Nursing assistants provide basic patient care in a variety of settings including nursing homes and hospitals. CNA is the first step on a nursing career ladder as well as a great option for those who are exploring a health career.

Patient Care Technician – Patient Care Technicians work closely with doctors and other medical professionals in administering therapeutic programs and monitoring the condition of patients in hospitals, nursing homes, home health settings, and rehabilitation centers.

Electronic Medical Records
Clerk –
EMR Clerks are trained to record and handle medical records for an effective exchange of healthcare information.

Emergency Medical Technician – EMTs have the knowledge and skills to provide emergency care and transportation of patients. They work in a variety of roles and are often the first on the scene of accidents, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.

Medical Transcriptionist/Medical Transcription Editor – The medical transcription industry is evolving to include two important roles: Medical Transcriptionists type the audio dictations of doctor-patient interactions, creating the reports that make up patients’ medical records. Medical Transcription Editors are specialized medical transcriptionists who correct and edit reports created by speech recognition software, which electronically translates dictations into text.

Heavy Equipment Operator –
York Tech offers a six-week heavy equipment operator program. The program is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Upon completing the program, students gain the knowledge and skills required to operate backhoes, dozers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks.

Professional Truck Driver –
If you have a good driving record, can pass the DOT physical and meet other regulatory requirements, you can become a professional truck driver. The six-week course provides classroom instruction, yard/field maneuvers, behind the wheel, and observation training.

Entry Level Utility Line Worker – York Tech offers an eight-week Entry Level Line Worker program.  The eight-week program includes classroom, lab, and field instruction in pole climbing, overhead and underground electrical line installation.

Production, Inventory & Supply Chain Management – York Tech offers APICS courses every semester so you can be prepared to take your certification exam in as little as 18 months. When it comes to careers in production-inventory management, operations, supply chain, materials management or procurement, APICS is the credential employers around the world look for.

Lean Six Sigma – Combining Lean manufacturing methods and Six Sigma tools, Lean Six Sigma focuses on process flow, waste, variation and design improvements to attain business and operational excellence and provide the foundation for innovation throughout the organization. Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certifications are industry standards for documenting that expertise.

Certified Production Technician –
Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Certified Production Technician is an industry-led, training, assessment and certification system focused on the core skills and knowledge needed by the nation’s front-line production and material handling workers. This 5-week introductory MSSC program followed by nine months of technical coursework in either Machine Tool Technology, Industrial Maintenance or Robotics & Automation helps students make more informed decisions about a career that best matches their strengths with future work opportunities, all while earning credit towards a two year Associates degree in their area of study.
