York_Chester_manufacturingA community partnership strengthening the talent pipeline to support local industry

In partnership with the Chester County School District, York Technical College and local industry partners have joined together to develop a nationally-recognized Youth Apprenticeship program. This community-wide collaboration provides an alternative career pathway for high school students, with a seamless transition to post-secondary education and entry into the skilled workforce. The dual-credit program not only establishes an emerging talent channel for skilled labor, but also contributes to the overall economic vitality of the Chester region.

Through the program, qualified high school juniors and seniors have the opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma, nationally recognized credentials, and up to 29 college credit hours towards a degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology from York Tech. Students receive valuable hands on, work experience while making lasting connections within the community.
