York Technical College was founded in 1962 and welcomed its first class of seven students in 1964. With a charter to serve York, Chester and Lancaster counties, the College’s mission is “Building Our Community Through Maximizing Student Success.” For the past 50 years, we have provided opportunities for individuals to reach their personal and career goals, and have supported the needs of local businesses for an exceptionally qualified workforce during a period of incredible change.
During the 2014-15 academic year, the College commemorated its 50th anniversary with a series of special events and celebrations. As we look ahead to the next 50 years, we remain committed to the students who have chosen York Tech on their path to a brighter future.
By helping transform individuals into successful students, and providing a strong foundation upon which they can build meaningful careers and rewarding lives, York Technical College is proud to contribute to the health, prosperity and future of the communities we serve.
